  1. WHAT TYPE OF SHIFTS ARE THERE?

There are plenty of things you can help with during Defqon.1, namely:

  • Respect the Holy Grounds

Together with other volunteers you are helping Defqon with keeping the Holy Grounds clean, you will inform the visitors about this and activate them to keep the Holy Grounds clean.

  • Fun fair (Carousel and Ferris Wheel)

You are helping out at the carousel and/or the ferris wheel. You make sure the line goes smooth and that it is safe.

  • Handing out headphones

You will help handing out the headphones in the silent disco area, a good moment to connect with the visitors of Defqon!

  • Artist Village

You will make sure that everything is taken care of for your favorite artist.

  • Open Air Bed

You will help Defqon prepare all the air beds for one of the shows.

  1. WHAT DOES EACH PACKAGE MEAN?

Since this is a weekend festival, we work with packages. These packages have been carefully designed considering volunteering hours, rest hours and, of course, party hours! They all consist of different days and times.

You will be expected to do a shift each day that you are at Defqon.1, but there will be enough time to party also!

Cannot make it all the days? No problem! We have a variety of packages with different dates.

Choose your package wisely: if you sign up for a shift, we expect you to be there.

  1. WHERE WILL I SLEEP DURING DEFQON.1 AND WHEN CAN I COME?

All volunteers will be camping together at the crew camping area. This is possible from Wednesday 26st until Monday 1st of July. We recommend coming the day before your first shift so that you have some time to pitch your tent and so that you do not have to worry about being late for your shift. If you come early please know that you can only go onto the Holy Ground the days that you have a shift. Please make sure to bring your own tent and mattress.

  1. ARE THERE SHOWERS AVAILABLE AT THE CREW CAMPING?

Yes, there will be showers and toilets available at the crew camping.

  1. IS THE CREW CAMPING THE SAME AS THE VISITORS’ CAMPING?

No, the crew camping is separate from the visitors’ camping. This means that if your friends are visitors, they are not allowed to come to the crew camping area.

Also, if you are doing shifts with Revolution Foundation, know that it is mandatory to stay at the crew camping.

  1. HOW CAN I GET TO DEFQON.1?

Reaching Biddinguizen can be a challenge, especially during Defqon.1 weekend. For this reason, we are putting in place a carpooling system. Shortly after being accepted, you will be placed in a WhatsApp group chat with all fellow Revolution Warriors. Here, you can see if someone has a free spot in their car, so that you can arrange traveling together.

If you come by car, there will be parking places available for you there. Make sure to inform us in advance so that we can request a parking spot for you. The crew parking is a bit further out but you are allowed to drop your stuff off at the camping and then park your car.

If you come by public transport, we recommend that you navigate to Dronten Station. From there you will have to take one bus to Biddinguizen and from there take another bus to Walibi.

If you foresee that this can be a challenge, please inform us prior to the event.

Make sure you leave on time; roads will be busy

  1. ARE TRAVEL COSTS COVERED?

No, Revolution Foundation does not cover any transportation costs. This includes flight and train costs.
